TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SeatsByFih ("Service"), operated by SeatsByFih ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. THE SERVICE

SeatsByFih is a web-based wedding seating chart tool that allows users to plan, manage, and share event seating arrangements. Features include guest management, RSVP collection, automated seating, check-in, and printable place cards.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information as necessary.

You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms.

3. FREE TRIAL

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. The trial begins when you first sign up. No payment information is required to start a trial.

During the trial, the following limits apply:

  • Maximum of 25 guests per event
  • Maximum of 1 event

After your trial expires, your account will revert to view-only access. You will be able to view your existing data but will not be able to create new events, add guests, use auto-seating, or access other active features until you purchase a paid plan.

4. PAID PLANS AND BILLING

We offer the following paid plans:

  • Event Pass — $29 (one-time): Grants one event credit. Each credit allows you to create and fully manage one event with no guest limit. Additional credits may be purchased at any time.
  • Planner Pro — $49/month: Unlimited events, unlimited guests, and access to all features. Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your current billing period.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees. Prices are in USD and subject to change with advance notice.

5. REFUND POLICY

All purchases are final and non-refundable. Because we offer a free 30-day trial with full access to all features before any payment is required, we do not issue refunds after a purchase is made. If you have questions about whether the Service is right for you, we encourage you to evaluate it fully during your trial period.

6. YOUR CONTENT

You retain ownership of all data you upload or create through the Service, including guest lists, seating arrangements, and event details ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights. You must obtain appropriate consent before collecting and uploading personal information about other individuals, including your guests.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or disrupt the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam) to guests
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limits, trial restrictions, or access controls

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without our prior written consent.

9. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (data storage). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service providers.

11. DISCLAIMERS

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

The automated seating feature provides suggestions based on the preferences and constraints you provide. We make no guarantee that suggestions will meet your specific expectations. Final seating decisions are your responsibility.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $50.

13. TERMINATION

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
